Saturday Option 1
A short 30 minute drive to Ryhd Ddu where our 11 mile (17.5km) walk starts. The Nantlle Ridge is a classic peak baggers route for those that love a full day out in the mountains. With 1370 metres of ascent you can expect this walk to take about 9 hours to complete and includes the peaks of Y Garn (634m), Mynydd Drws y Coed (695m), Trum y Ddysgl (710m), Mynydd Tal y Mignedd (655m), Craig Cwm Silyn (734m), Garnedd Goch (700m). One section of this route is steep, narrow and quite exposed so those with a head for heights will love it.
Saturday Option 2
The easier option for this day starts from is a 25 minute drive North towards Conwy. Starting close to Abergwyngregyn this 6 1/2 mile walk (10km) involves 494 metres of ascent and will take about 4 hours to complete. The route includes a magnificent ridge that includes the summits of Foel Dduarth (429m), Foel Ganol (536m), Yr Orsedd (559m) and Pen Bryn-du (547m).
Sunday Option 1
Leaving from the accommodation door we will be heading to the summit of Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales at 1085 metres. The Llanberis path follows the train track to the summit. There are some great views and once at the top we will take the Miners path down to Pen y Pass where there is a regular bus back to Llanberis. The walk is a total of 8 miles (13km).
Sunday Option 2
Cwm Llafar Horseshoe from Gerlan. Gerlan is a 25 minute drive away from the accommodation. This superb ridge walk is 9 miles in length (14.5km) and involves over 1100 metres of ascent. The ridge includes the peaks Carnedd Dafydd (1044m), Carnedd Llewelyn (1064m) and Yr Elen (962m).
Monday Option 1
For those that want a walk option we will offer a route starting in Beddgelert Forest. The 5 mile route involves 200 metres of ascent and should only take 2 1/2 hours to complete. Despite being a forest route the views do open up at one stage to reveal some great scenics of surrounding mountains.
Monday Option 2
Beddgelert is also a good place to enjoy mountain biking with all forest trails clearly marked. Bikes can be hired for either 2 or 3 hours from Beddgelert Bikes.
Monday Option 3
We have booked a whitewater rafting session for 11am. This opportunity is for 7 people only and the cost is £35.00 for the session plus £5.00 for the wetsuit hire (unless you bring you own). We have done this activity at this centre a number of times in the past and it's always proved very popular. For more information visit their website.
